Linebreak question

Hi

I need to make a linebreak inside some text. In my XML-file the line is

<speak>
Hi, is there something to do. Well actually, nothing.
</speak>

I want to have a linebreak, so that "Well actually, nothing" is displayed on
the next line. Like:

Hi, is there something to do.
Well actually, nothing.

and NOT

Hi, is there something to do. Well actually, nothing.

I know you can replace special characters by using &amp &quote and so
on...but how do i replace \n? Is it called &newline  ...... or?
