Log File questions
I am running apache 2.0.36 on a Windows 2000 server
I have a few questions about how to manipulate the apache logs. I have read
the documentation that came with 2.0.36 and I have also searched online, but
most of the questions on log files have to do with Linux installs of apache.
(yes, i do run Linux some, but i have never used a web server with Linux)
1. Is there a way that I can make the logs NOT record my IP address if i am
trying to run an inhouse security scan of the server?
2. Is there a way to make the log files change every 24 hours? (I have read
the docs and i know there is a way to do this but I am having trouble
understanding just what to do to make it happen)
Thanks in advance. Forgive me if i am being a rock head!

Both of your questions are answered here:
http://httpd.apache.org/docs-2.0/logs.html
If that is what is confusing you, it would help if you say specifically
what you don't understand.
Conditional logging (omitting some entries) works exactly the same on
unix and windows. Log rotation is similar, but you may need to use
slightly different commands. In particular, the quoting convention for
piped logs is a little screwey on windows.
