[Bug 123896] New: Find behavior when repeatedly with repeated use of
the keyboard shortcut
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=123896
Bug ID: 123896
Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: Find behavior when repeatedly with repeated use of the
keyboard shortcut
Product: General
Version: 4.0.1
Hardware: Mac
OS: Mac OSX, 10.9
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: P3
Component: ui
Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org
Reporter: andrew.boycelewis@gmail.com
CC: issues@openoffice.apache.org
Using the find feature in an OOO document, using the keyboard find shortcut
with the find dialog open but in the background closes the find window
entirely. The expected behavior is that the find dialog box be reactivated and
the "search for" text selected so that a new string can be entered.
When I find something in a document and then proceed to edit the document, I
expect that when I use the find shortcut again, the find dialog box will come
to the foreground and that I'll be able to type or paste the next string that
I'm looking for. I believe that this is the generally expected behavior based
on the other applications that I use on a regular basis (web browsers, text
editors, other office applications).
