Lifetime in ASP.NET applications

Hey,

is there best practices approach for integrating Lucene.net into ASP.NET application (or Core)?
What should the lifecycle be of the different objects? Is it recomme3nded to write / read in different processes ?

Any help / blog / recommendation appreciated :)
