[jira] [Updated] (HIVE-5640) Overriden configs in CLI does not
override configuration in Hadoop
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HIVE-5640?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:all-tabpanel ]
Nikolay Makhotkin updated HIVE-5640:
------------------------------------
Description:
It is impossible to override hadoop configs through CLI
In the CLI:
hive> set fs.swift.service.myservice.username;
fs.swift.service.myservice.username is undefined
hive> set fs.swift.service.myservice.username=admin;
hive> set fs.swift.service.myservice.username;
fs.swift.service.myservice.username=admin
hive> create table simple_table(field STRING) location 'swift://container.myservice/input/';
FAILED: Execution Error, return code 1 from org.apache.hadoop.hive.ql.exec.DDLTask. MetaException(message:Got exception: org.apache.hadoop.fs.swift.exceptions.SwiftConfigurationException Missing mandatory configuration option: fs.swift.service.myservice.username)
But defining this property in hive-site.xml permanently and then restarting metastore service does effect.
