Receiving NPE with servicemix-jms consumer endpoint

I'm receiving a NullPointerException when using the servicemix-jms
consumer endpoint.  I've never received this exception before, so I'm
wondering if anyone else has.  I'm using ServiceMix 3.1 embedded in a
web application.  Any idea why it's occurring?
