No matter using JDK 1.5 or JDK 1.6 to start Geronimo server, when creating the server assembly in admin console, we got following error messages. Meanwhile the created server only has a empty repository and some configuration files under var/config.

I tried the followings scenarios:
1). Select Framework
2). Select Framework + Web Little-G Tomcat
I also tried in gshell and only select Framework, the same exception exists.

See subversion commit tab for fixes. The two new probs you reported, I think the sharedlib one may not be a regression prob. Anyway, please let me know if they works for you. I tried them and worked ok for me. Also, please remember to open new jiras for new probs.

Resolution: Fixed
fixed in rev 729920 by reverting some changes in rev708650. I think the prob is that when installPluginList is called (this is used to build custom server assembly from either admin console or gsh), and when we construct the pluginInstallerGBean, it is using the current server's configManager, instead of the configManager from the buildConfigurationManager method. Thus it thinks everything is already installed. Also, we have to call setUpServerInstances first to set up servers before buildConfigurationManager so I could not easily reuse the private pluginInstallerGBean constructor.

I did a quick test on geronimo-tomcat6-javaee5-2.2-SNAPSHOT-bin.zip, build date is 20081229.
Test results of two scenarios reported in this problem are
1). Select Framework -- Pass now
2). Select Framework + Web Little-G Tomcat -- Custom server is created but console still shows following error msg:

Hi,
I think the error you saw is a minor prob, as both of these directories are supposed to be empty. I don't think these exceptions should impact the behavior of the server.
For your 2nd scenario, I think shared dir is empty in the sharedlib plugin, but I can understand why we want the empty directories there to guide users. I think it is reasonable to add an empty file to fix it.
For your 3rd scenario, I don't understand the purpose of the empty schema folder thus I propose to remove it off the geronimo-plugin.xml file of axis-deployer.

Verified in build 20090105, the error msg during assembling is fixed.
Although the assembled server (Framework + Web Service Axis2) has other problem like it can not be stopped successfully, as suggested it will be covered in new JIRA, and this one can be closed now.
