XML-RPC problem

Hi,

I want to ask which port for XML-RPC to access the database, is it 4080?
when I scan the ports on my machine, there is no services working on this port.
More, is there any document about XML-RPC to access Xindice?

I have followed the guideline from http://torchbox.com/xml/xindice/xindice.html and can list collection from locally db.
Also, I have copied Xindice.war to Tomcat and can run the ugly test page of http://localhost:8080/Xindice.
