[GitHub] kafka pull request #2394: KAFKA-4668: Replicate from topics from earliest

GitHub user jeffwidman opened a pull request:

    https://github.com/apache/kafka/pull/2394

    KAFKA-4668: Replicate from topics from earliest

    Mirrormaker currently inherits the default value for auto.offset.reset, which is latest (new consumer) / largest (old consumer).
    While for most consumers this is a sensible default, mirrormakers are specifically designed for replication, so they should default to replicating topics from the beginning.

You can merge this pull request into a Git repository by running:

    $ git pull https://github.com/jeffwidman/kafka patch-2

Alternatively you can review and apply these changes as the patch at:

    https://github.com/apache/kafka/pull/2394.patch

To close this pull request, make a commit to your master/trunk branch
with (at least) the following in the commit message:

    This closes #2394
