[jira] [Commented] (ISIS-2531) Wicket: render standalone collections as modal dialogs

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ISIS-2531?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=17285770#comment-17285770 ]

Andi Huber commented on ISIS-2531:

Having a quick look at it, I don't think, this can be done just in an afternoon.

So the question is, will we ever implement this for Wicket, or just leave it as is and use it as a design consideration for the _Vaadin Viewer_?

> For action results, that return a scalar (value) or collection, it would make sense to render the result in a modal window, such that the current semantic context is preserved when the modal window gets closed.
> In principle this idea could even be extend to menu actions, that return a scalar (value) or collection, such that the current page that is open in the UI gets preserved.
