Implemented selection of debug (default) / release mode of native code compilation for linux makefiles.
Separated $INCLUDES, $DEFINES and $OPTS (optimizations).
-march=pentium3 was placed in $OPTS_i686 arch specific flags
Updated all linux makefiles.
To build in release mode
BUILD_CFG=release ant
To add more optimizations:
BUILD_CFG=release CFLAGS=-O3 ant

A few of the subdirectories - common, include, pool, port, sig and thread - moved from modules/luni/src/main/native to modules/portlib/src/main/native - as search and replace on the patch should fix it.

Ivan,
The patch looks good. However, I'd like to change Windows and Linux but your patch only includes Linux changes. Do you intend to provide a patch for the Windows flags? If not, perhaps I'll take a look at it.
