I have used both 2.6.0. and 2.6.1. In my use cases both work just fine. In 2.6.1 the fixed multiple bugs, some of them could improve stability and recoverability. I don't think that this wersion is groundbreaking and it doesn't come with new features, but brings more stable YARN.
