[users@httpd] Is it possible to build apache with a cross compiler?

Is it possible to build the apache web server with a cross compiler? I have 
tried to do this by using the --host=arm-linux option on the configure 
script, but when running make, it is trying to run gen_uri_delims which is a 
newly created ARM binary file. I am running RedHat 9 on a Pentium.

Any links for more info?
