[jira] [Created] (LEGAL-502) Can a URL in a copyright notice be
changed?
Eric Covener created LEGAL-502:
----------------------------------
Summary: Can a URL in a copyright notice be changed?
Key: LEGAL-502
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LEGAL-502
Project: Legal Discuss
Issue Type: Task
Reporter: Eric Covener
Hello, we had a contributor suggest replacing a link in an old copyright notice with a version from archive.org:
The current URL is visible below, it appears to be unrelated content or just some placeholder for mass hosting:
Question:
Is this kind of thing permissible at all?
What if the contributor of the PR above was the copyright holder?
