   Squash and merge is fine, whoever merges the PR. This can potentially break upgrade paths for several people, @khos2ow were you exploring flywaydb or perhaps extend your idea with @ustcweizhou 's PR? Can you also comment how you tested this, between which versions and if unit tests exist to show that it works for old/new versions and has the same resultant upgrade paths for versions.
