how unique is document IDs and collection size limit

Hi,
as i understand all documents in any collection is
stored with newly generated IDs or keys. is it
guaranteed that the generated keys are always unique?

is there any constrain to the size and number of
documents in a collection and number of collections
itself?
thanks

You can specify your own key or let Xindice generate one
for you. If Xindice generates it, it is unique in a collection.
There isn't any hard-coded values, but according to
the creators, Xindice is for a lot of small documents
not Massive documents. They recommend that
your documents be in the pproximately 50k-200k
size. People have created collections with 1.25 million
documents.
