JSP/Servlet and Microsoft Index Server

Wondering if anyone has been able to query Microsoft Index Server catalogs
from within a JSP or Servlet.
I've done it pretty easily in ASP, which see the index server as another
database. But I haven't found anything on the JSP side. If you know of any
sites which could provide more info, please let me know.
