maybe featurerequest: how to import several source releases?

i have some releases fo FPC downloaded. there are more then 4000 files. some files adding some deletes.
how to import them in one version tree?

in CVS i can import them sequently.
but in svn i have to checkout 1st version, after that syncronise directories oof working copy and new release, after thet commit new release.
