I think the fix for the secondary supers cache issue may resolve this (or, at least, give some ideas about how this can be solved). I'm still waiting for some machines to test, but I'm planning to submit a proposed patch in ~2 weeks (once they arrive).

 

I am going to assign this one to me (please let me know in case I misunderstood the change and you would like to take this over, Claus).
