Server start Linux

Hi there,
i have still a problem, with the server start under linux. When I run my
ant script with my cactus tests in win2k, cactus detect very well if my
server is already started or if cactus has to start it The same script under
linux does not work. Cactus start everytime a new jboss server if it already
started or not.

Someone can give me a hint how to fix this problem?!
Thanks
Stefan

AW: ServletRedirector to early

Hey Christopher,

><waitfor> task with a nested <http> condition to make Ant wait until the

That was a very good hint, thank you it run now.
By the way I also notice that is necessary to have a well working clean
target, since it will not run if you only overwrite *.war or +.jar files.
Normally that is working well in jboss, since with a overwrite jboss
undeploy and redeploy ypur app.
Thanks a lot for your help!
Stefan

Ant has a <sleep> task, but a more reliable method is to can use the Ant
<waitfor> task with a nested <http> condition to make Ant wait until the
servlet redirector responds.

Hi Stefan,

Why don't you use the Ant integration provided by Cactus. It
automatically waits until the container is started before starting the
tests. I'd really recommend trying out the Sample application in Cactus
1.5dev (nightly build area).

Thanks

ServletRedirector to early

Posted by Stefan Groschupf <sg...@media-style.com>.
Hi, now since I get cactus using allready started jboss instance I get
another problem.
I would say that cactus try to early to call the ServletRedirector.
My jetty reports a 404 since the deployment is just running.
What can I do that cactus wait some seconds longer on my server?

Thanks
Stefan
    [junit] Caused an ERROR
[junit] Failed to get the test results. This is probably due to an error
that happened on the server side when trying to execute the tests. Here is
what was returned by the server : [<HTML>
    [junit] <HEAD>
[junit] <TITLE>Error 404 Could not find resource for
/weta-util/ServletRedir
ector</TITLE>
    [junit] <BODY>
[junit] <H2>HTTP ERROR: 404 Could not find resource for
/weta-util/ServletRe
director</H2>

Didn't make it through, it seems. Try posting it inline.

Maybe an issue with virtual hosting? (i.e. you've got the server set up
to only serve requests to the "www.domain.com" host).

Hi,

Sorry it takes more then some hours. However here the debug log.
I found out that it does run if I hardcode the server url.
So I had changed localhost (what running fine under win2k) to www.domain.com
and now the jboss start issue running also on my unix machine.

But something else comes up. I will write a new mail with a better subject
to request help for that.
Thanks for your hints, at least the look in the ant debug give me a hint.

Ok I will do that! Give some hours...
Thanks for your help...

But it fails because the port is already bound, no?

Can you enable debug output by passing the "-debug" option to ant, and
send us the output of the [runservertests] task?
