Broken build?
Is it just me or the build is now broken?

Without the dependencies in the top level, the classpath does not get
set up and compile fails.

I made a quick hack to the top level project.xml to add the dependencies
backin. It now builds from the top level again.
Something is wrong in the way the reactor is working, but I don't know
enough maven to fix it.

Yes, it appears that the build is broken. See the maven.log file for
details on the breakage. It appears that the breakage is deep in the
parsing of some XML.
