[jira] [Created] (AMQ-5727) purge command should not by default
delete all messages in all queues
Martin Lichtin created AMQ-5727:
-----------------------------------
Summary: purge command should not by default delete all messages in all queues
Key: AMQ-5727
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMQ-5727
Project: ActiveMQ
Issue Type: Improvement
Reporter: Martin Lichtin
Priority: Minor
purge is a delicate command. Currently if one uses it without any options, it goes ahead and deletes all messages in all queues!
My suggestion is that this drastic operation is protected by means of a flag or similar. Or a (y/n) prompt is shown unless a -f flag is used.
