Trouble Opening

Hello!

The screenshot attached is of a box will not go away, as neither button
will do anything if I click on them. It is preventing me from using the
program and from shutting down my Mac. I need to do so, as the Mac is
overheating. How do I get rid of it?

Thanks!
-Brittany

The attachment didn't make it through the mailing list.

I guess your are facing the problem described in the release notes:

http://www.openoffice.org/development/releases/3.4.1.html#AOO3.4.1ReleaseNotes-KnownIssues
On recent versions of Mac OS X it might happen, especially after
a "Force quit", that the following error message appears: "Restore
Windows - The application OpenOffice.org was forced to quit while trying
to restore its windows. Do you want to try to restore its windows
again?". If you cannot get rid of it: Option-click the "Go" menu; choose
"Library" from the menu to open the folder in the Finder; click on the
folder "Saved Application State"; delete the file
"org.openoffice.script.savedState". See bug 119006 for more information.
