@mdeuser @mhenke1 @steffenrost - yes, the doc should be updated. There is one missing piece we wanted to add: activations of sequence functions should also contain the annotation in case of timeouts in order to obtain a consistent behavior (see https://github.com/apache/incubator-openwhisk/issues/4310). We thought that this could be the right time to "officially" document the timeout annotation.
