And I finally got the following in the command prompt after a lot of
wrangling:
[Mon Nov 05 15:57:18 2007] [notice] Disabled use of AcceptEx() WINSOCK2 API
no listening sockets available, shutting down
unable to open logs
This is going to turn out to be something wrong with my listen directive
and I'm going to end up feeling like a total newbie. [red face already]
