better visual jsp result from db (postgresql) dbtags

Hi all , I have exstablished my connection between my web app and
postgresql db , the outlook result was poor , thus what! , how! does one
create a a better presentation regatding the result back from the
database. ie i have read/seen via the struts-users something  about
nested forms/tables.
please advise as i am awaitng the next hurdle with pleasure
