Customize the decorator/layout per user

Hi folks,
  I am a newbie to the portal world. We are evaluating some of the
popular JSR 168 compliant open-source portals along with Jetspeed2. 

To cut to the point, I was wondering if there is an out-of-the-box
solution in Jetspeed to allow the user to customize the Layout/theme
(decorators is the term I guess for Jetspeed). I briefly looked at the
decorators but not with much success. Any help is highly appreciated.
