Yes, I have that already and I have tried explicitly stating the
soapVersion.

The documentation isn't clear how the jms component behaves when SOAP is
involved. I've had a quick look at the source and it seems that the
behaviour is sensitive to config.

If I send a message:

<some-tag>message</some-tag>

Should I get:

<bunch-of-SOAP-stuff><some-tag>message</some-tag></bunch-of-SOAP-stuff>

out of the other side?

THis won't work.
You need to deploy only the wsdl, or fill the needed
informations (jndi connection factory, destination ...)
in the xbean.xml file.

Ok, getting somewhere with the provider:

If I set up a lw component like this:

<jms:endpoint service="ott:lOut"
               endpoint="soap"
               role="provider"
               soap="true"
                        	      soapVersion="1.1"
	      connectionFactory="#connectionFactory"
	      destinationStyle="queue"
	      jmsProviderDestinationName="pAPI"
	      wsdlResource="classpath:pAPI.wsdl" />

and send it a message:

<echo xmlns="blah"><in0 xmlns="blah">hello</in0></echo>

it calls the echo operation on my Xfire web service.

If, however, I add the jms and jbi extensions to my WSDL and try to
deploy like:

<jms:endpoint service="ott:lOut"
	      endpoint="soap"
	      wsdlResource="classpath:pAPI.wsdl" />

I get:

org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanCreationException: Error creating
bean with name 'jbi' defined in class path resource

You need to set the soap="true" attribute on the endpoint.

To be more specific, I have an external web service that I wish to call
from ServiceMix over a JMS transport based upon the WSDL definition for
the service.

I have a servicemix-jms provider that can send messages to a queue and I
have a web service that reads from the queue, but I can't seem to get
servicemix-jms to wrap outbound messages in a SOAP envelope.

Talking of broken pages, in the servicemix-jms docs
(http://www.servicemix.org/site/servicemix-jms.html) there is a statement:

"Here is an example of a WSDL:"

And then no WSDL.

Does anyone have an example to hand for W/S over JMS?

Thanks,

Terry

Thanks.

Can you also use WSDL deployment for providers?

We need to look into why this is happening when the page is
auto-exported from the wiki. For the time being, please see the actual
