The example servlets run fine over SSL, and they appear to be doing some very
similiar operations (write data). You'll have to put together a simple servlet
(easy to compile with no external dependencies) that shows the problem.

Could you also test with Coyote HTTP/1.1 1.0b8 and/or Tomcat 4.1.0 to see if you
also get the problem ?
