Rust sync call notes for 6/16/2021

Topics discussed:

- Andrew gave an update on the release process and where help is now needed
for some clean up (there is now a thread on the dev@ mailing list about
this)

- We discussed whether this call is really needed now. Since the new
repositories and development process has been put in place, this call has
not been very active. Andy to start a separate discussion on the mailing
list about this.

- There was a discussion about the suitability of using DataFusion as part
of an ML pipeline
