[jira] [Comment Edited] (ARROW-14840) [R][CI] test-ubuntu-20.10-docs nightly build failing due to R install issue

Is it a red herring to notice that it appears that the combination of Groovy + LTS isn't on the list at https://cloud.r-project.org/bin/linux/ubuntu?
Also: https://cran.r-project.org/bin/linux/ubuntu/focal-cran40/ works whereas https://cran.r-project.org/bin/linux/ubuntu/groovy-cran40/ (which is where it's looking for) does not.
Looking here: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/groovy/+package/r-base it seems that R 4.0.2 is the highest supported version for some reason.
I'll submit a PR to build docs on R 4.0 for now.
