Example URL then....

Hi All,

This is still related to my question of svn through a web browser. So say I wanted to checkout some files through a browser, what URL would I use? Also checking in files, what URL should I use?

Say I have a structure:-

/+
  -project1
      +
       -file1.c
       -file1.o
       -Makefile1
  -project2
      +
       -file2.c
       -file2.o
       -Makefile2

Can I checkout one of the projects through a web browser? If so what would be the URL ?

Thanks,

Mark A Evans

It depends on your Apache configuration. The repository URL could be
anywhere under your hostname; even the number of path components
leading to the repository is not fixed, but determined by a config
file. It need bear no relation to the repository's location on disk.

(What documentation have you read about setting up a DAV server?)

Once again, you can't use a web browser to check in files. At least,
not unless you activate the "autoversioning" feature. Read about it
in the WebDAV appendix of the subversion book.

What does "checkout" mean to you? Create a Subversion working copy?
If so, then no, you can't use a web browser. Do you just want to HTTP
"GET" certain files? That works fine. Just point your browser at the
public URL of any file within the repository.
