computeURL miscalculates query string for redirect
Summary: computeURL miscalculates query string for redirect
Product: Struts
Version: 1.0.1 Final
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Other
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: Other
Component: Utilities
AssignedTo: struts-dev@jakarta.apache.org
ReportedBy: jbutler@ciber.com
the RequestUtils.computeURL function always uses the encoded ampersand
character. This is fine for most links, but fails when the URL is a redirect
URL. In that case, the URL is incorrect and the new target sees incorrect
parameter names (they are preceded by amp;)
I have a small webapp that demonstrates the errant behavior if you need it.
Recommended solution is to not use the encoded version of the ampersand if the
URL is for redirect.
