Documents and dynamic web pages
I am aiding a department that is using a two tier
application design, with Tomcat JSP engine and Oracle,
to build a dynamic web site. It's easy to deal with
images, by either using a URL link, or a BLOB field in
Oracle. Now I wonder how to deal with documents. Is
it best to store them as BLOBS, or perhaps PDF files,
and use software such as www.pdflib.com to transform
them. Any suggestions on the best approach.
