Website / Downloadpages

Hi all

I can't find the place to fix following issues on our project website:

- - ApacheDS download as archive says 'Download for Windows' what is wrong [1]
- - On all download pages we encourage to verify the integrity. Couldn't we add a link for the specific asc/md5 file just
below the link of the zip/... file instead of letting the user crawling for the asc/md5 file he needs himself using the
link [2] pointing him to a directory containing all distribution files?

Regards
Felix

That's a good idea.

Actually, it was blacklisted... It explains why I could not connect to p.a.o
this morning.

I've updated all Apache DS 1.5.x download pages.
I'm going to do the same for Apache DS 1.0.x and Apache Directory Studio
websites.

Pierre-Arnaud

Ok, I'll do it. ;)

... As soon as I can ssh to p.a.o... :(

I hope our IP has not been blacklisted (because of my release tests...).

+1, but I'd like to leave it up to you as
- I'm having proxy problems (?)
- I'm don't have much knowledge about page itself. I'm just using vi on
p.a.o to change the site what is really quite old fashioned ...

It's working.

Re: Website / Downloadpages

The proxy is working here, and I can see the updated pages.

This looks almost good.
I think it would be good to have these links aligned on the right (and to
have the table width set to 100%).
I also think we should remove the links in the yellow box on the "ASC file"
and "MD5 file".

WDYT?

Regards,
Pierre-Arnaud

PS: At the moment, I can't ssh to p.a.o... :(
$ ssh pamarcelot@people.apache.org
ssh: connect to host people.apache.org port 22: Operation timed out

Is it working for you?

You can use this proxy to see them live: 140.211.11.10:80

to be a cache somewhere in between - I can't see any results yet.

These are static pages (not located on Confluence) that you can find on
people.apache.org (/www/directory.apache.org/apacheds/1.5/download/ for
example).

- - ApacheDS download as archive says 'Download for Windows' what is wrong

Great find. I missed this one... ;)

When the download page contains only one distribution, the links to the
asc/md5 files are associated to the file. When there's more than one
distribution, the links point to the folder instead.
Maybe we could add these like aside the download links for all the
distributions like you said.

I'd propose something like that:
[DownloadImage] *
http://apache.multidist.com/directory/apacheds/unstable/1.5/1.5.4/apacheds-1.5.4-setup.exe
*[asc-md5]

WDYT?

Pierre-Arnaud
