   This appears to already be addressed by [HUDI-6258](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HUDI-6258) / PR [#8795](https://github.com/apache/hudi/pull/8795) (commit `3f9c45fdfa9b`).
   
   The HiveSyncTool now supports syncing an MOR snapshot table under the original (no `_rt`/`_ro` suffix) table name via the config `hoodie.meta.sync.sync_snapshot_with_table_name`. On current `master` this default is `true`, so the original-name snapshot table is created automatically — meaning Hive SQL can reference the bare table name for the latest snapshot read.
