David Johnson commented on ROL-1476:
------------------------------------
I cannot reproduce this problem on Glassfish/Derby. I believe you are getting the "hostname in the URL doesn't seem to exist" error because you are running on an intranet that requires a proxy. Unfortunately, the weblogs pings stuff cannot be configured to use a proxy.
If that is the case, then this is not a bug. You could file an enhancement request titled "Allow Weblog Ping system to use proxy settings" but I think it's a very low priority feature.

Allen Gilliland commented on ROL-1476:
--------------------------------------
There is no official Roller 4.0 version, so can you specify what version of the trunk you are testing against?
I am running trunk revision 555795 against Sun Webserver 7 and a mysql db and I am not having this problem. I used your exact test case.
