You need to fix the build.properties file. It probably has the value "pluto" for the webapp name. Change it to "wsrp".

Body:
When testing the WSRP4J producer with the SwingConsumer, the tunnel.bat simply maps the port for you. The SwingConsumer, by default, tries to connect to the Producer on port 8081. A fresh install of Tomcat with a fresh install of the Producer will probably be listening to port 8080. The tunnel.bat program simply routes requests from 8081 to 8080.

I think this is the wrong workaround.
The proxyportlet is intended to be deployed on a pluto portal.
If you dont use a pluto portal and don't want to se the proxyportlet you should remove /portlets/build/proxyportlet.include.
This prevents the proxyportlet to be built and deployed by default.
We might want to think about a seperate build target for this "special"
case proxyportlte which is intended to be deployed on the consumer side, while all other portlets are intended to be deployed on the producer side.

Make sure you have edited the build.properties file in each portlet's directory (e.g. ws-wsrp4j/portlets/proxyportlet/build.properties)
These build.properties files setup file names for the jar file and war file for the portlet.
I have fixed the build.xml file to warn if the jarfile and warfile property names are not set.

Just did a cvs update and got the same message.
However I can get the consumer and the provider to work.
They appear to be talking via the tunnel application.
At the moment I can't get them to talk outside it but that is another issue.

../provider/pluto/war/WEB-INF/data/xml/portletdefinitionmapping.xml
Indeed the command
find /home/matthew/jakarta-tomcat-4.1.30 -name portletdefinitionmapping.xml
/home/matthew/jakarta-tomcat-4.1.30/webapps/wsrp/WEB-INF/data/xml/portletdefinitionmapping.xml
And a diff of the two files shows them to be identical.
diff /home/matthew/jakarta-tomcat-4.1.30/webapps/wsrp/WEB-INF/data/xml/portletdefinitionmapping.xml ../provider/pluto/war/WEB-INF/data/xml/portletdefinitionmapping.xml
[matthew@spats build]$
But it looks like it should be also copied to the
/home/matthew/jakarta-tomcat-4.1.30/webapps/pluto/WEB-INF/data/xml/
folder
(PS Thanks for the help with the earlier issues)

Body:
Using ant deploy_portlets I get the following
DeployPortlet.foreach:

DeployPortlet.intern:

--------------------------------------
I can't see why it is looking in
/home/matthew/jakarta-tomcat-4.1.30/webapps/pluto as there is no
pluto webapp in my tomcat webapps directory
Should there be a pluto directory here?
[matthew@spats build]$ ls /home/matthew/jakarta-tomcat-4.1.30/webapps
ROOT admin.xml examples manager.xml proxyportlet tomcat-docs webdav wsrp wsrp.xml wsrptest
