[Bug 4579] New: X-Mailer: Lotus Notes -> INVALID_DATE
http://bugzilla.spamassassin.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4579
Summary: X-Mailer: Lotus Notes -> INVALID_DATE
Product: Spamassassin
Version: 3.1.0
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P5
Component: Rules
AssignedTo: dev@spamassassin.apache.org
ReportedBy: mbr@freebsd.org
INVALID_DATE matches some Lotus Domino Mails here. Almost
all FPS are caused by Lotus Notes Servers.
Wrong:
X-Mailer: Lotus Notes Release 6.5.1 January 21, 2004
Date: 13-Sep-2005 11:59:38 CEDT
X-Mailer: Lotus Notes Release 6.5.2 June 01, 2004
Date: 13-Sep-2005 07:56:28 CEDT
Correct:
X-Mailer: Lotus Notes Release 6.5.3 September 14, 2004
Date: Tue, 13 Sep 2005 07:21:11 +0200
X-Mailer: Lotus Notes Release 6.5.2 June 01, 2004
Date: Fri, 26 Aug 2005 14:48:34 +0200
X-Mailer: Lotus Notes Release 5.0.7 March 21, 2001
Date: Wed, 12 May 2004 08:39:12 +0200
To me it looks like the Lotus Notes admin can choose how the
dates looks like.
Any suggestions ?

the rule is validly hitting invalid date headers, so closing as wfm.

INVALID_DATE looks for Date headers which aren't RFC compliant, which
is valid for those headers. The admins ought to change their config to
set the header correctly imo.
