taking a snapshot with me
Greetings,
I've been playing with Mercurial recently, and I like how I can take a
snapshot of the code with me and branch against it, for offline work. I've
been told that this is recently possible with SVN as well. Could someone point
me in the right direction?
Thanks,
Mike

You're looking for SVK (http://svk.bestpractical.com/). It is a
decentralized version control system like Mercurial, using Subversion
as its repository back-end. Some versions are reported to be able to
work with CVS and Perforce as read-only remote repositories as well.
The local repository, where all your local "mirrors" or "snapshots"
and branches will be contained, will always be Subversion.
