JBoss Moving to Maven!!!

Hello Maven Friends.
I just got the word from one of the JBoss Group guys that said JBoss
wants to move to Maven! This is really exciting stuff!!! So I have a
few questions for you all..
- I hate asking this question, and normally wouldn't but I remember
seeing a message posted recently which said, but i can't find it. So
here goes... When do you think Beta 9 will be out?
- I would like to lean on you guys a little bit to make sure that I am
doing this implementation correctly. I will try not to be the annoying
little newbie which asks lots of questions, but I really desire some
guidance. How best can I get it without being annoying? (These will be
mostly architectural questions since I can figure out most of the nuts
and bolts.) I would also love to have some reviews done of my work.

That's all for now! I am really looking forward to seeing all those
JBoss Group guys on the Maven lists. ;) This will be fun!

BTW: When Marc Fluery gives his $0.02 about your architecture, just
remember that it's his $0.02. He has a tendency to piss people off when
he "critiques" their stuff. Although most of the time he has some very
good input. He just doesn't present it very well.

-James

As soon as I get ClassWorlds fully integrated. I have a partial
bootstrap functioning and I'm trying to use the latest Ant where the
ClassLoader and Properties handlers are pluggable. Each plugin now has
an isolated classloader but this brings up other issues.

I'm hoping this week to get this all sorted out. This will be the change
that changes many things, not usage but will allow many cool things in
Maven.

I'll be the first to point out all the warts in Maven because there are
many. Once ClassWorlds is in place and Plexus is pushed underneath,
Maven will work as a component-based mechanism and will make thing much
more comprehensible and extensible. My primary drive with ClassWorlds is
to make MavenSession (which I will rename back to just Maven) the single
class required to integrate Maven. I've been getting better at the docs
and I'll try to get the roadmap out. There is a lot of cruft in Maven
and it will probably still take a couple months to extract it all.
