[Issue 126800] New: Use a dictionary for words definitions
https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=126800
Issue ID: 126800
Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: Use a dictionary for words definitions
Product: Writer
Version: 4.2.0-dev
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: CONFIRMED
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 (lowest)
Component: editing
Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org
Reporter: marcoagpinto@mail.telepac.pt
It would be great if AOO could have a definition dictionary for words when we
right-click on them (below the synonyms).
Even Microsoft Office has that.
And to make it powerful, it could point to Wiktionary for the words
definitions.

I do not use this kind of feature.
For me, it will be proposed as an extension.

Yes this one could be a good feature.
Developers must explain what base for this is needed inside AOO.
The configuration for this feature maybe provided as extensions like the
dictionaries. And/Or dictionaries would also provide the configuration for this
feature because it make only sense for the right language.
