   Note that this is only for the _early access_ builds, as the _release_ workflow is still referencing [`18.04`](https://github.com/apache/maven-mvnd/blob/master/.github/workflows/release.yaml#L38).
   That, in itself, may be problematic and it would be preferable to use the same version imho.
   
   Not sure about which glibc version we should support.  What would be the requirement if we build on ubuntu 20.04 ?
   
    @gzm55 any thoughts ?
