Podling name search
I've created a JIRA, beginning the task of establishing the Fluo name's
suitability as an Apache trademark:
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PODLINGNAMESEARCH-109
This is a task required prior to graduation, but I figured it's never too
early to start.
Documentation about what we need to do is here:
http://incubator.apache.org/guides/names.html#search

Ok, I figured this was the case (knowing you personally), but just
wanted to double-check I wasn't making a bad assumption.
No need to do this again later. This one time should be enough.

Yes. Most GitHub matches were basically part of larger words related to
those kinds of words. The exact matches I saw were hard to say whether they
were "the project name itself", because it was just the name of the repo...
no context, some didn't even have code or documentation. They were barely
more than a repo name a few lines of code, certainly not established in any
way. ... but there were over 200 repo matches to check... and I couldn't
really check them all. I relied on GitHub's "best match" to examine just
the first few pages.
A *really* thorough check into all of the GitHub matches would be quite
time-consuming, and I'm not sure what kinds of information I'd be looking
for. I figured that could be done later, as necessary.

You wait for Shane (VP, Brand) :). I would expect a result in a few
days (maybe next week, depending on his backlog).
The only question I have reading it now is on the matches you did see on
the Github search. You cited that many of the search results were due to
partial word matching ("fluorine, fluorescence, fluorite, or
fluorocarbons"), were all of the repos of a similar scientific context
(not the project name itself)?
I don't think you need to change it, just my $0.02. Shane will ask for
more information if he thinks it necessary

I've updated the issue with a comment showing the results of my searching
today. Not sure what's next.

I've done one of these before. Feel free to ask if there is any confusion.
