[users@httpd] connectors

Hi,

I have installed apache 1.3.27 and tomcat 4.1.27
in solaris 8.
Now I want both of these to coordinate each other.
Now what shld I do.
seeing the doc I downloaded 

jakarta-tomcat-connectors-jk-1.2-src-current.tar

If i install this will Tomcat work with apache or Shld
I have to install another version of apache.
Or shld I have to go to another version of
connector.
I am totally confused and just depending on
Tomcat mailing list for proceeding.

Pls help me.
