jelly variable $sourcesPresent in maven-java-plugin-1.3

Hi all,

Currently I check how to work with jelly from maven. I have had a look 
at plugin.jelly and found:

......
<j:when test="${sourcesPresent == 'true'}">
......

I can't understand where the variable sourcesPresent was set. Could you 
please explain it to me?
