I replaced many of the numeric fields in the test schema.xml with the trie variants to ferret out other possible bugs.

The big question: for a normal *lucene*/solr query, should foo_i:oops throw an exception?
I'm working from that assumption... allowing Trie* fields to throw exceptions and fixing dismax so that it catches them.
