[all] Old Sandbox Sites...

What should we do with old sandbox sites after the project has been
promoted to the "proper"? Commons Proxy and Commons VFS still have
their old sites out there. Should we remove them? Should we put a
redirect page in there?

After initially screwing up the re-directs - they are now working for
jci,proxy,scxml and vfs

Note that the redirect instructions relate to jakarta-site.

They should probably be updated for Commons TLP; question is, should
jakarta redirects be updated too, or will that now happen via existing
Jakarta redirects?

We do, but it took me a while to find it:

http://wiki.apache.org/commons/MovingFromSandboxToProperSVN

The redirect instruction was in there. I don't know when it was
added. It could have been there when I did the move. I just may have
forgot to do that step. Thank you for taking care of this.

Thanks - I've corrected JCI and added proxy, scxml and vfs - so
hopefully should all be OK after the next sync

Should now be OK for you to edit it - BTW the existing JCI entry needs
to be changed as well, now that commons is TLP.

I just tried to do this but the .htaccess file is read-only - I've
asked on infra@ for someone to fix it.

I think just do it rather than opening a JIRA ticket - good to add to
promotion doc though - do we have such a thing?

Should we open up a JIRA for this? Should we maybe add this to the
directions for promoting to proper?
