Re: 403 Forbidden in response to OPTIONS after svn cp with authz
Hi everyone,
Martin Röhricht pointed me to the following bug report:
"Subversion demands unnecessary access to parent directories of operations"
http://subversion.tigris.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=3242
... which seems to be the root cause for the problem mentioned in this
thread.
A fix has been retargeted to 1.6 recently (from 1.7).
As I see it the issue affects everyone using 1.5 or later with an authz
setup that disallows read access on / for at least some users.
At this time, the best work around is possibly to use "svn switch" and
switch to the very same URL that the workspace already is in.
best regards,
-hannes

I have the very same issue here (Debian Lenny installation, svn
--version 1.5.1, libapache2-svn 1.5.1). Has there been any progress on
this? Or any usable workaround?
Kind regards,
Horst
