[REQUEST] Binaries for 1.5.0-rc.3
Dear community,
This is a request to prepare binaries for the 1.5.0-rc.3 release.
Please follow the release procedure:
http://wiki.apache.org/couchdb/Release_Procedure#Preparing_the_Binary_Packages
Everyone is welcome to prepare binaries for this release. If you can
indicate when you might have time to prepare the binaries, that would
be extra awesome!
Thanks,
Dirkjan

I made a small packaging fubar which made the docs not show up correctly.
The new files in the same places for your testing:
https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/dev/couchdb/binary/mac/1.5.0/rc.3/
Please give these a good run through!
The procedure is as usual:
- Unzip
- Select & File -> Open
- Futon should open for you, go to “verify installation”
- Click the “verify installation” button
- Wait for green
- check if the docs look good
- look around for anything suspicious :)
Best

Does it make sense to just keep this stuff in the main repo? A repo
for a single shell script seems overkill!
Cheers,
Dirkjan

Woo! Let's import this into the ASF!
Two steps needed:
* Quick IP clearance (we should be getting good at these by now!)
* Request couchdb-build-mac.git (or some such)
Happy to help out however needed!

The general space is https://github.com/janl/build-couchdb-mac
Follow the shell script for what is happening :)
There are a few extra hoops that I need to automate, but nothing big.
Would love to make this an apache repo soonish. Same with the Mac App shell, but might not get to it before CouchDB Conf Vancouver.
Please keep bugging me :)

Hey Jan,
I was asking Dirkjan (off list) how to build binary files. I would also
like to do it for OS X ... can you give some advise how to do this? Is
there a general resource for how to create the binary files?
Thanks and Cheers

Please give them a test :)

I’ve baked a fresh R14B04 version - here, signed as usual.

Nick - perhaps you’d like to contribute your R16B02 versions too? They look good to me, so an OK from your side is all I need to commit them now.
